Create a New Record

  1. With the new indexed file in the editor, click GUID-10B5A1D6-BA36-4144-BD55-3817A049E63D-low.png (Insert Record) in the Record group.

    As you do not have a layout applied to the data file, you must use the free text editing field in the bottom pane.

  2. Type 001Monday, then click GUID-414CC8A1-5ACA-4125-BE2B-4E0D668B7A2A-low.png (Save Record).
  3. Click Yes to confirm.
  4. Repeat the previous steps with the following details to create a further five records.
    Record text
    002Tuesday
    004Thursday
    005Friday
    006Saturday
    007Sunday

    The records should be displayed in ascending order, using the primary key, which is displayed in red.
