You cannot drag and drop VSAM files from your local project to the mainframe; however, you can achieve this by setting up
a job stream with JCL and data, and submitting it to the JES spool.

In the
Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.

Drag and drop the item to the appropriate catalog search filter in Mainframe Explorer, from one of the following locations:
- A COBOL project in the
Solution Explorer window.
- A local catalog in the
Server Explorer window.
Note: You can only drag PDS members from a local catalog to the mainframe.
- Windows Explorer.
Note: You cannot drag items from Windows Explorer if the
Scan imported members for copy statements option is checked in the Mainframe Explorer Options screen.
