To set up an Application Analysis Server connection

Enterprise Developer enables you to connect to one or more Enterprise Analyzer or COBOL Analyzer repositories in order to receive reports and analyze your applications. You create an Application Analysis Server connection as follows:

  1. Open the Analysis Server Explorer window - click View > Analysis Server Explorer.

    Alternatively, in Server Explorer, double-click the Analysis Server Explorer node.

  2. Click Add Analysis Server Connection.
  3. Enter the URL for the analysis server in the Connection String field: http://ServerName:1248/api. Note that the default port number is 1248.
  4. Click Verify Connection.
  5. When the connection is established, click OK. Your server and the available workspaces appear under in the Analysis Server Explorer window.
  6. Double-click a workspace and the Enterprise Analyzer web client for that particular workspace will be displayed in your IDE.
  7. Alternatively, right-click a workspace, and click Open in Browser.

    This opens the Enterprise Analyzer or COBOL Analyzer web client in a browser outside the IDE.
