To locate this screen
- In the Tree pane under
SEE Administration, select
Regions, and select a region to start or stop.
- In the Actions pane, select
Start/Stop Region.
Description
Use this screen to start a region, or to stop a region that is running. Displayed options depend on the region status.
- Start/Stop server
- If the region was started from a machine other than the current machine, type the region details or select it from the list.
Leave this field empty to use the current machine.
- Normal stop
- Performs a normal stop by doing the following:
- Blocks any new transaction requests.
- Allows completion of running transactions.
- Runs the PLTSD shutdown procedure after running transactions complete.
- Immediate stop
- Performs an immediate stop by doing the following:
- Blocks any new transaction requests.
- Aborts any running transactions.
- Runs the PLTSD shutdown procedure.
- Force stop
- performs a forced stop. The system does whatever is necessary to stop the region immediately. The PLTSD shutdown procedure
does not run.
- Stop
- Click this to stop the region with the selected option.
