Deployer: Deploy a JCL Application

1. Ensure that your application is compiled - you use Enterprise Developer to develop applications.
2. Create a Mainframe Subsystem enterprise server instance
3. Configure the enterprise server instance for JCL - for example, enable JCL support, set up search paths to locate your application files, the system catalog, define bach initiators and so on.
4. Start the enterprise server instance - from the Enterprise Server Administration home page or with the casstart from the command line.
5. Use the Enterprise Server Monitoring and Control (ESMAC) to submit the JCL job. Alternatively, you can use the cassub command at the command line.
6. Check the progress of your job in ESMAC:
   • View the spool.
   • View the catalog.
   • Troubleshoot issues with your JCL jobs. Check the information on timeouts, catalog maintenance and return codes.
