1.0 What’s New

This section summarizes the new features and enhancements in this release.

1.1 Redesigned FAMTD

Redesigned FAMTD to optimize communication between Filr and backend storage servers.

1.2 Uploading a File from Another App

The system allows users to upload up to 100 files. This is applicable from Filr 25.1 or later. For more information, see Uploading a File from Another App in Mobile App Quick Start.

2.0 Resolved Customer Issues

  • The SLES packages do not include qemu-guest-agent to support the Proxmox hypervisor.

  • Unable to clear the Index server's deferred logs or re-index.

  • The purge-kernels service package is missing from all Filr 5-based appliances.

  • Filr Desktop Client generated download links are encoded twice.

3.0 Known Issues

The following are the known issues in Filr 25.1:

  • If launching the Filr Windows Client initiates the installation process, uninstall the current Filr version and install the latest Filr 25.1 version, which is included in the server package.

  • If the total file size exceeds 120 MB when uploading files from another application to Filr, it results in Filr crashing.

4.0 Update Filr

4.1 Pre-requisites

Updating Filr and Search Appliances: You must update the Filr appliance to version 25.1. Filr 25.1 is available as an online update to Filr 5.0 appliances or later. For more information, see Updating Filr through Online Update Channel.

Updating Content Editor Appliance: You must update the Content Editor appliance to version 25.1. For more information, see Applying Online Updates.

Updating PostgreSQL Appliance: You must update the PostgreSQL appliance to 25.1, see Applying Online Updates.
