reUZE Server 6.0 provides the following new features:
reUZE Server can be configured to either a 32- or 64-bit working mode and can therefore run 32- and 64-bit COBOL applications, including CICS, IMS, and JCL.
We've integrated with Microsoft BizTalk Host Integration Server for CICS Intersystem Communications supporting interoperability between mainframe and distributed applications.
The "Read" permission for Enterprise Server instances is not automatically assumed if a user has login permission; it can be explicitly granted or denied. In addition, how the "Read" permission is granted or denied depends on whether MFDS Internal Security is in force or whether an external Security Manager or Managers is active.
See Understanding and applying Read permission for full details.
reUZE Server provides functionality for Websphere MQSeries Trigger Monitoring for IMS, allowing IMS MPP programs to be scheduled when WebSphere MQ messages arrive on a designated WebSphere MQ queue.
See Websphere MQSeries Trigger Monitoring for full details.
Previous Micro Focus products referred to Mainframe Transaction Option (MTO) as a facility to enable CICS, IMS and JCL applications that have been migrated from the mainframe to be maintained, developed and deployed on Windows platforms. This term has now been replaced by Mainframe Subsystem Support (MSS) .
You might still see the term MTO referred to within some areas of the product. For example, supplied support files, pathnames and within the documentation. In these instances the terminology has remained the same.
Some features of reUZE Server are now licensed by Sentinel RMS from SafeNet. Authorization Keys, required to license these particular features, are provided with your product. Sentinel RMS licenses are administered by the Micro Focus License Management System tool.
