Synonym Search

You can add a list of synonyms for search terms to the Content component. When you search for a term, Content automatically includes all the synonyms for that term.

Synonyms allow you to broaden a search and return documents on a subject that do not contain the exact word. This increases the power of natural language queries. However, for legal search you might require only matches for the exact search term, so you should not use synonyms.
