You can use a fixed TCP port on the server machine for Client/Server Binding conversations. Simply configure the listener that is used by the service or services for your applications to use a fixed port in Enterprise Server Administration.
Note: Regardless of how your listener is configured, Client/Server Binding for Enterprise Server uses only one port for each conversation. This contrasts with Client/Server Binding when used with CCI, which opened a new port every time a client connected.
