UNIX Authentication

After you have configured the SCP daemon, whenever the UNIX Option initiates a connection with a server, a dialog box is displayed asking for your password on the server. If you do not enter the correct password, the Publish fails.

The SCP daemon supports the following the UNIX authentication schemes:

• Traditional UNIX password files (/etc/passwd).
• Shadow password files (/etc/shadow).
• SecureWare
