Start the Enterprise Server

On UNIX you can start the enterprise server in one of the two ways described below.

Option 1:

1. From your UNIX System Administrator determine the port that the Enterprise Server Administration web server is running on. The default is 86.
2. Start up a web browser and point it at your Enterprise Server Administration interface. (eg. If your enterprise server software is running on "mymachine" and uses the default port you can put in the following web address: http://mymachine:86.)
3. Use the Enterprise Server Administration interface to start your server.

Option 2:

1. Telnet to the UNIX machine where your enterprise server resides.
2. Establish your Studio Enterprise Edition environment.
   Note: See your system administrator to determine if your profile has been updated already or if you need to execute a shell script to setup the appropriate search paths, environment variables, etc.
3. Enter casstart -rPLIDEMO.
