Starting Compare and Synchronization Monitor from the User Interface

You must have configured a mainframe server in order to perform this task.

You can use this task to logon to a standard mainframe server, or to an Endevor server.

From the Visual Studio menu, select Tools > Micro Focus COBOL Tools > Micro Focus SynchMon
The Log on to the mainframe dialog is displayed.
Enter your user identification details and select the mainframe to log on to. The mainframe or mainframe details that you have configured are available in the pull-down lists
Click OK. The Configure options dialog is displayed.
Configure the Compare and Synchronization Monitor options:
- Use the top section of the dialog to configure the monitor process.
- Use the Add button at the bottom of the dialog to select the dataset types to be monitored.
  The process involves configuring a series of dialog box options, including the workstation location.
Repeat the process to add all of the types to be monitored.
Click OK to set your options and start the synchronization process. The results of the synchronization process, including any error details are displayed.
