When the Directory Server is not running as a Windows service, you can shut it down from the Enterprise Server Administration user interface:
- Click
Shut down on the menu on the left-hand side of any Enterprise Server Administration Web page.
- Click
Yes on the confirmation page.
Note: You can leave Directory Server running all the time, whether or not you are using Enterprise Server Administration. You should not shut down Directory Server if servers are started.
