Restriction:
- You can only compile individual COBOL programs that are part of a native project, or a managed Mainframe Subsystem Application project that compiles to multiple output files.
- It is not possible to compile copybook files.
To compile an individual COBOL, IMS, JCL, or BMS file in your project:
- In Solution Explorer, right-click the file you want to compile.
- Click
Compile.
This option is not available when a build is already in progress or when you are debugging the application.
